Is there a better way to voice one’s inner experience then to have recourse to a canvas and paint? While I was working on Abstract Mountain, I realized how painting in layers meant not to be afraid of letting go what was, even if I felt comfortable with what was achieved, in order to reach real transformation. Abstract Mountain expresses solidity with it’s dark base, yet as we move upward there is astonishing reds, yellows, blues before reaching the lighter beige with its subtle yet dynamic accents.

About Claudette Pilon

I am an abstract and mixed media artist who just love to play with paint and create unique paintings. Over the last 20 years I have participated in several group shows as well as in the Apples and Art Studio tour. I also have exhibited my art in community venues.
My love for abstract paintings just flourished over the years. For me, I feel that "Ah" feeling when at the end of the process I look at what has just been created on what hours before was just a blank canvas.
